Each year the choir of St. John's S.N.S. participates in events and celebrations in the local community. The choir meet regularly to practice under the guidance of class teacher, Ms. Sheehan. The choir is made up of boys and girls from across the school and there is a great emphasis on enjoyment while appreciating music and song.
The choir sing for the Communion and Confirmation ceremonies each year and perform beautiful hymns, both old and new.
'The Big Sing', organised by Arklow Mental Health Services, is also one of the highlights of the year for the choir and we are delighted to be invited back year on year.
The choir practice a broad range of songs and are always adding to their repertoire which includes songs such as; 'You've got a friend in me', 'Mull of Kintyre', 'Panis Angelicus', 'From A Distance' and 'Sing! Alleluia!' to name a few.
